Jerry Castro moved to the Bay Area in June of 2017 after spending the previous 20 years working in the Chicago office of Chicago Title Insurance Company. During that time, he provided valuable legal insights to the customers of Chicago Title’s National Commercial Services unit in Chicago. He also worked for several years in the real estate group of an international law firm, where he gained practical experience working on all aspects of real estate transactions. Because of the experience gained during that time, Jerry has a unique understanding of what attorneys require of a title company when trying to close a transaction. He has underwritten complex, commercial transactions encompassing various types of industrial, commercial and manufacturing properties, including power plants, major office buildings and large hotel chains.

In 2006, Jerry graduated from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. He has published Coinsurance/ Reinsurance: Different Means to a Similar End, and conducted many presentations for Chicago Title customers (Surviving a Commercial Real Estate Closing, ALTA Title Endorsements and Mechanics Lien Underwriting webinars among others). He is a member of the American, Chicago & Illinois State Bar Associations.
Jerry and his wife live in San Francisco and they look forward to continuing to explore all the great options that Northern California has to offer.
